#5 Hovedøya & other Adventures
More Sun in a Day, than Hamburg sees in a Week
Hey, it's me again.
I know I said "Sundays are for Sightseeing" is a tradition we will try to keep up throughout our stay, but this week the plans have shifted a bit according to our new weather situation arising soon.
While we have had only one shitty day since the beginning of January (of course that day fell on the bus-sightseeing day organized by BI), the tables will soon have turned and cold snowy weather is awaiting us. To be quite frank, coming here I was expecting (and hoping for) the white winter wonderland. However, we were presented with Hamburg-like temperatures and lots of sun. Hopefully, we will be getting some of that white winter in the near future though.
This Sunday I slept in late, facetimed with a friend (Chrissy) and went on a short cafe trip to "United Bakeries" with Clem, Jonas and Alicia to get some air.
Sightseeing was scheduled on Friday. We took the ferry to the little Islands in the Oslo Harbour. We even hopped off at one of them called "Hovedøya". There are multiple beaches and a cafe - I guess it will be a nice spot for warmer summer days.
Important Notice: For everyone planning on visiting. I discovered a wine bar that offers wine for 33 NOK every Wednesday between 7 and 11pm. This is the cheapest wine you will find here in Oslo!
